Apple Cucumber Facial Mask For Oily Sensitive Skin

If your skin is oily but yet very sensitive to most skin products and cosmetics, you should love this recipe! I personally use this homemade facial mask constantly simply because --- my skin hates me. I have slightly oily skin myself, but yet it's very sensitive to most skin care products. The cucumbers help calm and soothe the skin while to apple in this recipes helps absorb natural oils to keep my skin too oily. It's really simple to make and it's really lovely on my skin.

Things you will need:

  • 1/2 peeled cucumber
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 thick slice of apple
  • Several mint leaves
  • 1 drop lime essential oil

I always start off with this recipe by peeling the cucumber and cutting the cucumber into half. After I cut the cucumber in half, I normally save one half and cut into slices to use on my eyes. (Hey! Why not?)
Grab an egg, crack it and separate the yellow from the egg white. Throw away the yolk. Add the lemon juice, lime juice, mint leaves and essential oil into a bowl and stir.

After that cut an apple in half and slice it into a halves. You can eat the other half or throw it away. Whatever you want to do with it. I prefer to cut the one half of the apple into slices.

Add the cucumbers, egg white mixture and the apple slices into a blender and blend well until it's basically liquified.

Apply a thick layer to your face and neck area and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse well with warm water. I usually sit back and chill with the cucumber slices on my eyes while the mask has time to work it's magic.
It's best to use this homemade facial recipe as soon as possible and discard. However, you can store left-overs for 1 to 2 days tops in the coldest part of your fridge.
