Apple Toner for Oily Skin Types

Do you have oily skin? Are you tired of applying makeup only to find that the makeup melts off after an hour of being on? If so, then you might need to start using a toner mixed to absorb and help control the oil in your skin. The Homemade Apple Toner will act as an oil absorbing formula. Apples actually can help dry out oil on the skin (much like alcohol -- which is no good for any skin type) only non-harmful to your skin.

You will need:
  • 2/3 cup of witch hazel
  • 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar
  • 2-5 drops of essential oil of your choice
  • A jar or container

All you simply need to do for this recipe for Apple Toner is combine all the above ingredients together and add to a clean jar or container to store.

Once you have stored the mixture. You should actually let this Apple toner chill in the fridge for an hour or so. You don't have to, but it helps to relieve the skin after a long day.

All you need to do to apply this toner is simply dab a bit of the solution on a cotton ball or sponge and apply to your face. The witch hazel is a natural gentle astringent for your skin while the apple cider vinegar will help restore the skin's natural pH balance.  The essential oil is just to add a pleasant smell to the toner.
