How To Make Your Own Natural Skin Bleach

Skin bleach can be used to get rid of age and sun spots, however creams and lotions are very expensive and can contain harmful chemicals.  You can make your own natural skin bleach at home for half the money and avoid harmful chemicals in a few minutes. The important thing to remember is that this won't lighten your skin dramatically from your natural skin color, which is a good thing.  Many people only want a subtle difference.  Try it out and see what you think!

    * Juice from two squeezed lemons
    * A few slices of peeled cucumber
    * 2 large (but thin) peeled slices of potato
    * Around 4 heaped table spoons of gram flour
    * The juice from 1 squeezed citrus fruit (e.g.a grapefruit,an orange, a lime etc etc...)

First, you need the juice from two squeezed lemons. Peel a cucumber and slice off about 4-5 slices. You will also need to peel a potato.  You don't need much potato, about 2-3 slices that are large but thin should work just fine.  Get your flour out, you need about 4 table spoons of GRAM flour.  You will also need some citrus juice freshly squeezed.  You can use a grapefruit, orange, or a lime. Mix all ingredients with a blender or food processor (whichever one you have available).  If you don't have either, you can mash and mix it up on your own.  Just be sure to mix it properly.

Add salt and sugar.  You will need about 5 table spoons of salt and sugar.  This will preserve the mixture so that you can store the left-over for an extra use.  Put the mixture into a container, such as a jar or plastic Tupperware container.  Shake it up for about 3 minutes to be sure all the contents are mixing properly.

Now, your ready to use your natural skin bleach!
Before you apply it, you should test it on a patch of your skin for a very seconds to be sure you will not have any allergic reactions.  If your skin itches or tingles - you may be allergic to one of the foods.  If your good to go, you should apply about a teaspoon to your neck and your face.  You can also apply a thin layer to the rest of your body.  Let the mixture dry on your skin for about 5-10 minutes.  Rinse it off carefully, do not scrub too hard.

Repeat this process as often as you feel the need. It may take time to notice your skin getting lighter, but you will see results.  Ideally, you should apply the mixture once or twice a week to see dramatic results.  If you aren't in a hurry, you can apply it once of a month for more subtle results.  This mixture has a shelf life of about a month.  The salt preserves the juices and fruit slices.

- Tips and Warnings:
* Do not use this recipe if you are allergic to any of the contents of the recipe.
* If you are still not satisfied with the results, you may want to contact a dermatologist to discuss other skin bleaching alternatives.
