Make Your Own Coffee Body Scrub at Home

Homemade spa treatments are the best and most effective way to save money and treat yourself to a nice spa treatment at the same time. All too many times, people spend tons of money for expensive spa treatments, facials, and other pampering effects that they can actually do at home, with less money, and get better results. Here is how you can make a coffee body scrub, at home, by yourself, and not spend a fortune on an unique pampering experience.

Things you will need:

  •     2 cups of coarsely ground coffee
  •     1/2 cup raw sugar or sea salt
  •     2-3 T massage oil

How To Make Your Own Coffee Body Scrub

  1. Go to the store and search for coarsely ground coffee, if you can't find it, buy regular coffee and use a food processor to ground it up coarsely. You will also need to find raw sugar or sea salt. Either one works fine, it's basically to exfoliate your skin. If my opinion, sugar works better, because salt can dry out your skin. You will also need to buy a form of massage oil. Any type works, but you can pick the scent of your choice.
  2. Blend all the ingredients together. Stir them up and store them in a jar or can. You can store the mixture in the refrigerator for a longer shelf life. The ingredients can't really expire, but it helps the mixture stay fresher.
  3. Wait until you have the right amount of time to take a long hot shower. Wash off thoroughly to make sure the skin is clean. Also, the longer you take a shower, the more your skin pores open up.
  4. Use about a palm full of the mixture and start rubbing from the legs up and work your way to the top. Scrub in soft circular motion as you go. This helps stimulate the skin and the pores in your skin.
  5. After you rub the scrub mixture over your skin, rinse off. Towel dry off, and apply your choice of lotion to the entire body. Your skin will feel very refreshed and you will instantly feel the difference in your skin texture.
